Natchez Trace Parkway to close in Choctaw and Webster counties (Milepost 181 – 204)

The National Park Service has announced that a section of the Natchez Trace Parkway in Choctaw and Webster counties, Mississippi, will be temporarily closed. The closure will stretch from Mississippi Highway 413 (Milepost 181) to U.S. Highway 82 (Milepost 204). The closure is set to begin on Monday, June 9 at 2 p.m.

In addition to the parkway closure, the last night for camping at the Jeff Busby campground will be on Sunday, June 8. After this date, campers will not be able to access the site due to the parkway closure.

The National Park Service has not provided a reason for the closure or a timeline for when the parkway will reopen. Visitors are encouraged to check the NPS website for updates on the closure and potential reopening dates.
