Grand Canyon National Park Provides Update on North Rim Power Outage and Lodge Services

The National Park Service (NPS) has recently provided an update on the ongoing power outage at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon National Park. The outage, which began around 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, has been traced back to an equipment failure involving a transformer near the Grand Canyon Lodge.

As a result of the power outage, the Grand Canyon Lodge has had to cancel all overnight reservations starting from the evening of June 2. The NPS has not yet provided an estimated time for when power will be restored, leaving many visitors and potential guests in a state of uncertainty.

The NPS is actively working on resolving the issue and restoring power to the North Rim. Visitors are advised to check the official NPS website for the most recent updates regarding the situation. The NPS regrets any inconvenience caused and appreciates the public’s patience during this time.
