Lake Clark National Park Subsistence Resource Commission to Meet September 27, 2025

The Lake Clark National Park Subsistence Resource Commission, under the National Park Service, has announced its Fall meeting. The meeting will take place in Newhalen, at the Newhalen Community Center, on Saturday, September 27, 2025. The commission’s role is to provide recommendations and advice on subsistence hunting and fishing issues in Lake Clark National Park.

The commission is composed of local residents who rely on the park’s resources for their subsistence lifestyle. The meeting will focus on the management and policies related to these resources. This includes discussions on wildlife, fish, and plant management, as well as other topics related to subsistence use.
