Cedar Breaks National Monument Begins Routine Winter Preparations

October 12, 2025by Ranger Tom0

Cedar Breaks National Monument has initiated its regular seasonal transition in preparation for the winter months. As part of this process, several facilities within the park have been closed for the season. This is a standard procedure carried out annually to ensure the safety and preservation of the park’s resources during the harsh winter conditions.

However, the park roads at Cedar Breaks National Monument are currently still open. They will remain accessible to visitors until such a time when snow accumulation makes vehicle access unsafe. The decision to close the roads will be based on the amount of snowfall and the subsequent impact on driving conditions.

The National Park Service is committed to ensuring the safety of all visitors while also protecting the natural and cultural resources within Cedar Breaks National Monument. Visitors are advised to check the park’s official website for updates on road closures and other relevant information during the winter season.
