Abrams Falls Trail closed for trail maintenance June 16-18

The National Park Service (NPS) has announced that the Abrams Falls Trail, as well as its trailhead parking lot, in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park will be temporarily closed from June 16 through June 18. This closure is to allow maintenance crews to carry out necessary trail upkeep.

During this three-day closure, visitors will not have any access to the falls via any trail. The NPS has not provided any alternative routes or access points to the Abrams Falls during this period.

The maintenance work is part of the NPS’s ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and preservation of the national park’s trails. Visitors are urged to plan their trips accordingly to avoid any inconvenience. For more information, visitors can refer to the official NPS website.
