National Park Service seeks volunteers

February 6, 2026by Ranger Tom0

The National Park Service is inviting the public to a volunteer open house at Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The event will be held on Saturday, February 28 at the Happy Days Lodge located in Peninsula. The purpose of this open house is to provide information about various volunteer opportunities available at the park.

Those who attend the open house will have the chance to learn more about the different roles they can play as volunteers. These opportunities range from maintaining trails and park infrastructure, to assisting with educational programs and special events. The open house will provide an overview of these roles and allow potential volunteers to ask questions and get more information.

The National Park Service is committed to engaging the community in the preservation and enjoyment of the nation’s natural and cultural heritage. This volunteer open house at Cuyahoga Valley National Park offers a unique opportunity for individuals to contribute to that mission.
