The approval of the plan is a significant step towards preserving the Fort Raleigh National Historic Site for future generations. The NPS is committed to protecting and preserving the nation’s historic and natural resources, and this plan is a clear demonstration of that commitment. The implementation of the erosion control measures will ensure the continued enjoyment and educational value of the site for visitors.
