Catoctin Mountain Park in Thurmont, Maryland, has announced that it will temporarily close certain areas due to heightened security measures. The closures will begin at around 10 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, and are expected to last until around 8 p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2026.
