Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks move to fully cashless fee collection May 21

May 7, 2025by Ranger Tom0
From May 21, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks will transition to a fully cashless fee system. The move is a significant change in the payment method for entrance fees to the parks. Instead of cash, visitors will need to use mobile payments, credit cards, or debit cards to gain entry.

For visitors who can only pay with cash, there are alternative options available. They can purchase a park pass from one of five local third-party vendors. This includes the visitor center that is located nearest to each park entrance.

The move to a cashless system is part of the parks’ efforts to streamline operations and improve visitor service. More details about the change are available on the National Park Service’s website.
