Visitors to the parkway during this period can expect to encounter active work zones resulting in short duration, single lane closures. The resurfacing work will commence from milepost 122, at US 220, and continue up to milepost 143, near Pine Spur. This will also include the resurfacing of paved overlooks along this stretch.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is a significant part of Virginia’s natural and cultural heritage, and this preservation work is crucial in ensuring its longevity and continued enjoyment for visitors. The NPS appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation during this period of maintenance and improvement.
