Announcing Application Cycle for Salinas’ Artist-in-Residence Program

May 3, 2025by Ranger Tom0

The Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument has announced the initiation of its Artist-in-Residence Program. This endeavor is a collaborative effort between the park and the Friends of Salinas Pueblo Missions (FSPM). The program’s goal is to foster public support for the park’s ongoing care, preservation efforts, and educational initiatives.

The artist selected for this residency will be tasked with producing a photo portfolio. The portfolio will need to visually highlight the park’s unique cultural and natural resources. A special focus will be placed on capturing the park’s immaculate dark skies, a feature that sets the park apart.

The Artist-in-Residence Program at Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument is scheduled to run from July 7 to August 8, 2025. Applications for the program are now being accepted. Further details can be found on the National Park Service’s website.
