May 1, 2025by Ranger Tom0

Virgin Islands National Park is currently accepting applications for its Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) summer employment program. The park is inviting high school students to apply for the paid positions, with the application period closing on May 15, 2025. The YCC program is slated to run from June 16, 2025, to August 1, 2025.

The YCC program offers participants the opportunity to work on a range of projects. These include trail maintenance and repair, natural resource conservation, and visitor outreach and education. It’s an opportunity for students to gain practical experience in conservation work, while also contributing to the upkeep and enhancement of the park.

The positions offer a pay rate of $15 per hour for a 32-hour work week. This initiative not only provides students with a unique summer employment opportunity but also encourages youth involvement in the preservation and management of national parks.
