The NPS is inviting the public to share information and perspectives about these historical sites. The aim is to gather as much data as possible to help inform the study. The public’s input will play a significant role in determining which sites may be included in the National Park System.

The public can share their input through the NPS website. This public engagement initiative underscores the NPS’s commitment to preserving and interpreting the nation’s complex and sometimes difficult history. It also highlights the importance of public participation in the process of recognizing and preserving significant historical sites.
