Grand Canyon National Park Receives Highway Safety Grant Funding

Grand Canyon National Park has been granted funding from the Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS), facilitated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The funds will be used to enhance pedestrian and bicycle safety, speed enforcement, and impaired driving prevention within the park.

The grant will provide for the purchase of necessary equipment, allowing park rangers to conduct high-visibility traffic enforcement. This is part of a broader strategy aimed at reducing crashes, injuries, and fatalities on park roadways.
