Unoccupied house collapses in Rodanthe

Cape Hatteras National Seashore (Seashore) reported an incident of an unoccupied house collapsing in Rodanthe, North Carolina. The event occurred at 23047 G.A. Kohler Court and the Seashore was notified just before 6 p.m.

Immediately after the notification, Seashore staff were dispatched to the scene of the collapse. The team is tasked with assessing the situation and ensuring the safety of the surrounding area.

The initial cleanup efforts are set to begin tomorrow, Oct. 4. Further updates on the situation will be available at the National Park Service’s official website.
