Perry, Thunder, and Big Beaver Fires Thursday Update

The Perry Fire continues to blaze, fueled by hot and dry weather conditions, according to a recent update from the National Park Service. The fire, which is being exacerbated by a Heat Advisory and Red Flag conditions, is making uphill runs and short crown runs, primarily in the northern aspect of the fire.

The fire’s current estimated size is 1,309 acres. The Perry Fire is one of several wildfires currently active in the region, alongside the Thunder and Big Beaver Fires. These fires are posing significant challenges to firefighting efforts due to the existing weather conditions.
