Small Plane Crash in Katmai National Park

A small float plane crash occurred near Brooks Camp within Katmai National Park on July 5, 2025. The plane was carrying four passengers at the time of the crash, all of whom survived the incident. The crash site is within the park’s boundaries, a popular destination for visitors due to its rich wildlife and natural beauty.

The four occupants of the plane were immediately transported to a hospital in the Anchorage area following the crash. According to the National Park Service, none of the passengers sustained critical injuries. Their current condition is stable and they are receiving the necessary medical attention.
