Robert “Bob” Bieri, whose case is now suspended, had been the subject of an extensive search operation within the park. Despite the best efforts of park rangers and search teams, no substantive clues have been found to indicate Bieri’s location or what may have happened to him.

The decision to suspend the search was not taken lightly, and the National Park Service has expressed its commitment to resume the investigation should any new information or evidence come to light. Until then, the case remains open but inactive. The National Park Service extends its deepest sympathies to Bieri’s family during this difficult time.
