A truck caught fire in the early hours of June 19 while descending Towne Pass on California Highway 190 within Death Valley National Park. The tractor trailer was en route from Battle Mountain, Nevada, to Long Beach, California. The fire resulted in the destruction of the tractor.
The driver, however, managed to protect the trailer by disconnecting it before the fire could spread. This quick thinking and action prevented any further damage to the vehicle and its contents.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident. The cause of the fire is not mentioned in the release. For more details, the full article can be accessed on the National Park Service’s official website.
