Hopewell Furnace Commemorates Independence Day

The National Park Service, in collaboration with the Friends of Hopewell Furnace, will be hosting a commemoration of the 249th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2025. The annual event will take place at the Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site, specifically on the steps of the Ironmaster’s Mansion. The main ceremony is scheduled for 2:00 pm.

The celebration is not limited to the formal commemoration at 2:00 pm. Additional programming related to the event will be offered throughout the day. These activities aim to engage visitors and offer a deeper understanding of the significance of Independence Day in the context of Hopewell Furnace’s historical setting.
