The Blue Ridge Parkway, stretching across North Carolina and Virginia, has multiple ongoing projects that aim to improve and preserve the historic route. However, these developments have not halted the majority of the Parkway’s operations. Visitors can still enjoy the vast majority of the scenic route, with more areas set to open across the summer and fall seasons.

The National Park Service encourages both locals and tourists to take advantage of the open sections of the Parkway. As the season progresses, additional areas of the Parkway will become accessible, adding to the range of recreational activities available. Despite the current projects, the 2025 visitor season promises plenty of opportunities for exploration and enjoyment along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
