Visitor Fatality in West Glacier

A visitor to Glacier National Park in West Glacier, Montana, tragically lost their life on Wednesday, June 4, 2025. The park’s dispatch service received a report of a severely injured individual near Avalanche Campground at about 9:56 PM.

Park Rangers were the first to respond, immediately providing medical aid to the individual. The Three Rivers ambulance service and ALERT were also dispatched to the scene to assist with the emergency.

Despite the swift response and medical aid provided, the individual was declared deceased at the scene. Further details regarding the incident have not been released at this time. The National Park Service has not yet provided additional information about the circumstances of the incident or the identity of the deceased.
