May 31, 2025by Ranger Tom0
Denali National Park and Preserve has once again turned on its live Puppy Cam, offering viewers the opportunity to observe this year’s litter of five puppies that were born in the park on May 3, 2025. The park is known for its sled dog kennels, which are a key part of its operations, particularly during the winter months. The puppies born here will eventually join the ranks of these working dogs, helping to maintain the park’s 92 miles of trails.

The live Puppy Cam allows the public to watch the puppies as they grow, play, and learn in their early months. This initiative is part of the park’s efforts to engage the public and raise awareness about the role of sled dogs in the park’s history and ongoing operations. The webcam is available for viewing on the park’s official website.

The sled dogs at Denali National Park and Preserve are a critical part of the park’s operations. They help park rangers patrol the vast wilderness, assist in search and rescue operations, and aid in the transportation of supplies during the winter months. These dogs are also ambassadors for the park, helping to educate visitors about the park’s history and the important role that sled dogs play in it.
