136h Anniversary of the Johnstown Flood

The 136th anniversary of the Johnstown Flood is set to be commemorated on Saturday, May 31, 2025, by the National Park Service. The catastrophe was triggered by the rupture of the South Fork Dam, resulting in the release of 20 million tons of water that surged down the Conemaugh Valley to Johnstown.
