In addition to signing up for text alerts, the Seashore is also urging visitors to swim at any of its five lifeguarded beaches. These beaches are equipped with lifeguards to provide an added layer of safety for swimmers. The National Park Service is keen to stress the importance of swimming in designated areas, especially in light of the inherent risks associated with rip currents.

The Seashore’s call to action comes as part of a broader push to prioritize visitor safety. By encouraging the use of lifeguarded beaches and the subscription to rip current forecast text alerts, the Seashore aims to equip visitors with the tools and information necessary to safely enjoy their visit. The National Park Service continues to maintain a strong commitment to ensuring the wellbeing of all its visitors.
