These restrictions apply to all visitors and staff within the boundaries of the Chiricahua National Monument, Fort Bowie National Historic Site, and the Coronado National Forest. The ban includes the ignition of wood and charcoal fires, as well as the use of smoking materials. The only exception to this ban is in developed campgrounds and picnic areas where grills are provided.

The agencies have not provided a specific date for the lifting of the ban. The restrictions will remain in place until the agencies deem it safe to rescind them. Visitors are urged to comply with the new measures to help prevent the risk of wildfires and ensure the safety and preservation of these treasured natural sites.
