Adams National Historical Park is set to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the First Continental Congress. The event, taking place on August 10 and 11, will honor the departure of John Adams from his home in Quincy, Massachusetts to serve as a delegate in Philadelphia.

John Adams, a key figure in American history, left his home 250 years ago this month to participate in the First Continental Congress. The congress was a significant event that unified the American colonies in their resistance against British rule.
